Max Saves Montana Highway Jobs
by Max For Montana
Montana is a highway state. We don't even think twice about jumping in the car and driving four hours to watch a basketball game -- only to turn around and drive right back. Our highways and our safety on those highways is important to us and who we are as Montanans. To add to that, the federal highway program is an essential part of Montana's economy, accounting for thousands of good-paying jobs in Big Sky Country.
That's why Max is so proud to have just delivered $8 billion more in federal funds to our highways.
When concern about highway funding came about, Max used his position as chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee to fight for our roads and those who make a living keeping our roads safe. In his speech on the Senate floor max said, "Ensuring the Highway Trust Fund remains solvent means my state of Montana will not have to suffer more than $98 million in funding cuts, as well as approximately 3,500 job losses, in the next year."
Max has a proven record of continually standing up and doing what's right for Montana and the highways that cross it. Max has once again delivered for Montana and the people who live here.
