Montana is known as the Big Sky State, which it clearly is; it is known for its beautiful mountain tops, raging rivers and endless prairies. But what makes Montana Montana, isn't the landscape, the mountains or the endless beauty; what makes Montana the last best place is the people that live here.
The people who live here and the children who are being raised here we have a duty to protect and make sure they can grow up in a safe environment. This is a responsibility Max takes very seriously, and part of this huge responsibility is keeping drugs off our streets and out of our school systems. That is why Max is so proud to announce that a bill to keep the operation of Montana's drug task forces passed a Senate committee last week.
"Our law enforcement officials work hard every day to protect Montanans and keep our kids safe," Max said. "Jon and I worked together to secure funding that will provide law enforcement officials the resources they need to do their jobs effective and efficiently and to help stamp out drug use in our state."
Officials say Montana's drug task forces have had a major impact on drug trafficking in the state and Max is so relieved to have funding for this program that will keep our communities and families safe.
