A Heroic Tale

Montana has a long, proud tradition of protecting America's freedom in the Armed Services. And this proud legacy added yet another chapter, when Eivind Forseth enlisted in the United States Army. After the tragic attacks of 9/11, Eivind answered when his nation called. Putting his own safety aside, Eivind fought bravely in Iraq, where he was tragically wounded.

Max Baucus knows that all soldiers, like Eivind, deserve to have their government work as hard for them, as they did for it. That's why Max is working hard on his Defenders of Freedom Tax Relief Act. Max's bill would provide soldiers with the benefits that they need and deserve including help saving for retirement or building a home, and providing support for families of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
