Baucus Turns The Radio Up

(Billings, MT.) The AM and FM airwaves will be a buzz with Montana Senator Max Baucus' new advertisement starting April 1. Click here to listen to the new ad.

The 60-second long ad focuses on Baucus' work to provide innovative property tax relief to all Montana property owners, especially seniors. Baucus is chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over all taxes.

The ad states that "with homeowners across the nation feeling the economic crunch" Montana families know we have "someone looking out" for them.

Baucus then talks about how it is wrong that many people, especially seniors, can't afford to stay in their homes simply because of taxes. He states that's wrong which is why he has authored a plan forproperty tax relief.

Baucus' plan, which was passed as part of the recent budget resolution, would provide an automatic $500 deduction per individual property owner, or $1000 per household. It's estimated that more than 124,000 Montana filers would benefit from the Baucus deductions.

Baucus is Montana's longest serving senator, and is seeking a historic sixth term in November
