Baucus Takes To The Airwaves
Senator Focuses On Doing What's Right For Montana In New Ads
by Max For Montana
(Billings, MT.) -- U.S. Senator Max Baucus is up on the airwaves with new television and radio ads focusing on some of the major accomplishments he has delivered for Montana.
The 30 second television ad, which began airing statewide, says that although Baucus is "one of the most powerful Senators in the nation," he has never "forgotten his roots" or "lost touch" with Montana values.
The ad then goes on to list several major wins Baucus has used his seniority to deliver for Montana -- including millions of dollars for new highways, 18,000 construction jobs, and health coverage for 15,000 Montana children.
The ad features Robert Peccia, a construction contractor from Helena, James Ahrens, former head of the Montana Hospital Association, and Rhonda Hinrichs, a Registered Nurse from Helena, praising Baucus for his work.
The ad closes with Baucus promising to continue to get things done and work hard every day to do what's right for Montanans.
The ad will be broadcast on both network and cable stations across the state. Baucus will also launch a radio ad which focuses on his role in passing the recent economic stimulus package, which will provide tax rebate checks of up to $1,200 per couple to spur the economy. The ad states that Baucus worked hard to get rebates for nearly all Montanans, and how he worked hard to put more of Montanans' tax money back in their hands.
Baucus also states that as chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over all taxes, he will continue to work to make a more fair tax system that doesn't benefit special interests.
First elected to the U.S. Senate in 1978, Baucus is Montana's longest serving U.S. Senator. He's seeking re-election for an unprecedented sixth consecutive term.
